Thank you Gaynor for bringing me back to earth again – I obviously needed it. My New Year resolution was not to ‘pre-judge’ other folk and it is amazing how often I find myself doing just that. Its a case of remaking that resolution over and over – this is a perfect time to make a success of it once and for all.

As for resentment, we went through a bad experience some years back concerning an acquaintance who had wronged a close family member and I found the resentment building up so much, together with hatred and unforegiving thoughts on my part. Once I realised I was hurting myself more than the person concerned I forgave, and it was an enormous weight lifted ff my shoulders.

We certainly do need to try and change the world to one of happiness.

Gaynor, this is a wonderful reminder that we should focus on the positives and allow ourselves to delight in the happy moments. It’s sad how easily we pass judgement over others when we don’t want to be judged, ourselves. With self-control comes wisdom.
