Mum left hospital for home on Friday, Wendy. What a wonderful relief!
The “Butch” situation is terrible but that is a situation we know about. How much more is going on that is unknown???

Good morning dear Gaynor. As a resident of Toti and therefore part of the Ethekwini Municipality. I am so ashamed of these heartless, cruel individuals.
My husband has just told me that when he lived in ‘Rhodesia’ many years ago and was in the BSAP, it was a standard accepted practice that once a dog became old and needed to stop working, he would go to his handler’s home to spend the rest of his life as a member of the family.Much has changed and standards have dropped to such an extent that it is quite horrifying.
How is your dear mum Gaynor. I sincerely hope much better this week.

Gaynor, as you know this touches an extremely sensitive nerve in me..so much so that when I was scrolling down to read I saw the beginnings of the cage and although it’s a reality, I simply couldn’t look. Let’s trust that someone in KZN metro is tackled and brought down over this very sad and appalling situation. There appears to be a dearth in the knowledge that dogs are legally sentient beings and should be accorded the same privileges. I believe in Diane Kohler Barnard and trust she will pursue this investigation. Let’s vote for ” putting down” retired ( or active ) Innocents!!
