Sorry that I am replying so late, Ingride. I meant to and then forgot about it!
Yes, the thing with not doing what you say you'll do, is that there is one person who knows if you stick to your promise - YOU! And the thing of not liking yourself for one's failure to attempt to carry out your promise, is difficult to live with.
But, yes, I do know that place!
And doesn't everyone love a bit of applause? Everyone needs a bit of "applause" in their lives!
Thank you once more for reading my blog. I think that you will enjoy this Friday's one!
With a smile I kiss your eyes

Hi Gaynor,

I so enjoyed reading Lost in Translation. It must be so soul uplifting living in George.
Here in Israel, I live in an apartment. Behind me we have public parking..across the road a concrete block of apartments. The beautiful tree that gave us privacy literally soaked itself out of its roots after very very rains a year ago. The water from the leaves crashed onto our balcony rushed underneath our closed porch doors. Soaked the carpet. Fortunately our youngest daughter Simona was here and when i got back from school she was mopping up and the furniture was up-ended.

I always enjoy and get inspiration when I read about other people's moments of Faith. I have always always believed in G-d and The School of Truth in South Africa have been instrurmental in getting me through many momentous moments in Life.

You must have been given such a lift when the sound operator came to you and said what he did and also the two Spanish members of the audience. And weren't you brave ploughing ahead when there were no laughs and no reactions .....Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is something i am trying to teach myself.."Don't judge" and don't do tings for the applause...but do things because they fit into your principle...not easy. It is nice to get applause and to be told "Well done." My cousin wrote on my Facebook page...If you say you are going to pray for someone..then pray for that person. Do what you say you are going to do...so this is where i am.

We have had very strange weather here. As you know Israel does not get much rain....but yesterday , now well into Spring and touching Summer's door, the heavens opened and it poured, it actually hailed down!!!!!!!!!!!

Gaynor thank you for this, i did enjoy reading "Lost in Translation" - a perfect title.
I don't eat meat...but i can still remember the flavour of biltong...as Peter Sellers said in The Party...Birdie birdie num nums!!!!!!!!!!

Fond love

Yes, Ynor, one so often jumps to conclusions when one feels vulnerable. I am a prime candidate! One needs to have faith in oneself and God!
Gently I kiss your eyes

Yes, G, so soon we are to jump to conclusions but I SO know where you're coming from when it comes to anticipating a particular type of audience reaction. A moving testimony though, God moves :-) in HIS own ways....xx

Gaynor, we well remember your performance in Durban and how deeply touched we were with the story of your overcoming against all odds.
Apparently the power of your story still transforms the listeners....
Take care.
