You’re right about Dachshunds, Gaynor! Walter got a mouse that made its way inside at Cochrane Place. I think from his expression at the time that he actually surprised himself, but that was rapidly replaced by. ‘I’m the champ’!

oh gaynor, what a precious dog he is! tears filled my eyes when i heard that he caught the little thing, and it was a dormouse after all. i dont think i have ever seen a dormouse, although i longed to have one as a pet when i was younger… xxx
