I am trying to remember my feeling towards piped music before my accident, Mims. I come up blank there. But I do know, that deaf or not, the taped music that plays over a phone while you wait to speak to a doctor, drives me positively insane! There were times I request to lower the volume so I can hear my friends. Sometimes I look for quiet corner or enough lights to lipread.
