Yes, Romary, it is strange. I have discovered that people behave strangely only because they are frightened. These things fall outside of their experience. It is only when they are gently introduced to things like deafness, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome etc that their level of antagonism disappears and acceptance occurs.

It has been a privilege to meet them, and learn to better understand what this is all about. Our coffee mornings are great and will definitely be an on going pleasure…especially to see the delight on their faces as we consume their scrummy presentations! How I wish we could change the government’s stance on their financial needs. Isn’t it amazing however how a person who is ‘challenged ‘ can reveal so many truths to those of us who essentially are not?
